Coach Stores Explained: Flagship Addresses, Regular Boutiques and What to Expect
Coach closed its 2026 fiscal year, on 27 June 2026, with 973 directly operated stores, according to Tapestry’s annual report. Of that total, 336 sit in North America and 637 are international. A figure of about 1,299 stores is sometimes cited as well, but that number covers all of Tapestry’s brands rather than Coach on its own. Reportedly, Tapestry has said it aims to open around 50 net new Coach stores in fiscal 2027, roughly three quarters of them beyond North America. Flagship Coach House locations, everyday full-price boutiques, concessions within department stores and Coach Outlet stores all form part of the network. A shopper looking for a coach store could as a result find anything from a multi-floor flagship to a unit in an outlet village. Taking it city by city, this guide looks at the most thoroughly documented locations and flags any case where a store’s current status has yet to be confirmed.
| Address | Store type | Current status in September 2026 | Tip |

| Tokyo, Ginza | Flagship | Reported as reopened in December 2025 | First Japanese flagship dates from 2002 |

New York: The Coach House on Fifth Avenue
Coach was established in New York in 1941, and its home city is home to its most recognised flagship. Opened in the fall of 2016, the Coach House at 685 Fifth Avenue celebrated the brand’s 75th couch bag anniversary. Designed with William Sofield’s Studio Sofield, it was reported to cover about 20,000 square feet on three floors. That address is not a permanent base, however, because Coach has reportedly taken a lease on about 13,200 square feet at 645 Fifth Avenue for a new Coach House. David Yurman is reported to have signed a lease for the 685 Fifth Avenue space, with an opening expected in early 2029, whereas Coach’s planned move is scheduled for 2027. Whether the current store is still trading on a given day has not been confirmed, so look at Coach’s store locator before a dedicated trip. The locator also lists a Coach store at 20 Hudson Yards, not far from Tapestry’s headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards.
London: The Coach House on Regent Street
The site of London’s Coach House is 200–206 Regent Street, where it opened in 2016 as a global concept store. It was also designed with Studio Sofield, which gives it a clear kinship with the New York flagship. A Craftsmanship Bar for monogramming and personalisation was mentioned in coverage at the time. A Made to Order bar for the Rogue bag was also reported, and made-to-order Rogue pieces reportedly require around 12 weeks, or about 16 weeks with exotic skins. One retail-district listing displays a much later page date, which has led some writers to state the wrong opening year. According to a published transcript of Tapestry’s August 2026 earnings call, the company said the UK, plus some wholesale business, is the only part of Europe where Coach has material penetration. Before visiting, confirm which services are currently offered if you are planning a personalisation appointment.
Tokyo: Ginza
Tokyo’s Ginza district holds Coach’s flagship in Japan. The first Japanese flagship opened its doors there in 2002, and the store was refurbished in 2015. It reopened on 19 December 2025 after a redesign by the studio CURIOSITY, according to reports on the relaunch. Japan also matters for services, because select Japanese stores reportedly take part in the Coach (Re)Loved trade-in exchange. Gently worn all-leather retail bags are reportedly accepted by the scheme, but outlet items and canvas pieces are not accepted. As it was not confirmed which Japanese stores participate, contact the store before bringing a bag along. Hours and services are worth checking shortly before a visit, as with every flagship in this guide.
Hong Kong, Chongqing and an Outdated Shanghai Record in Greater China
Next to New York or London, Coach’s large stores in Greater China are less well documented. A flagship of about 7,000 square feet opened on Huai Hai Middle Road in Shanghai in April 2010, according to a record that is now no longer current. Its current status was not verifiable, so do not assume the Shanghai store is open now. Coach has also been reported to operate a global flagship in Hong Kong and a two-storey glass flagship in Chongqing. The opening dates of those two stores were likewise not verified. International stores make up 637 of Coach’s 973 directly operated stores, but the annual report figure is not a city-by-city list. Old press material is not as dependable as Coach’s local store locator, so anyone travelling should consult the locator when planning a visit.
British Boutiques and Concessions
Beyond Regent Street, Coach’s UK store locator shows full-price stores at Westfield London in White City and at Westfield Stratford City. London also has listings at St Pancras and the Promenade Level at Canary Wharf. The listed full-price store outside London is at the Bullring in Birmingham. Shoppers can also find Coach in concessions inside Harrods in Knightsbridge and Selfridges on Oxford Street, where a Coach Playground space has been promoted. No confirmed store was found in Manchester, Edinburgh or other cities, so check before presuming a local branch exists. If you are looking up coach uk locations, the list above covers the documented full-price options as this guide was written. To confirm hours and services, the safest place is the dedicated store page on Coach’s UK website.

Coach Outlet Locations
Coach’s store locator marks Coach Outlet stores as outlets, and they sit within Coach’s own network rather than being run by independent discounters. They usually are located in outlet centres, and Coach has reportedly opened Coach Coffee Shop concepts at Jersey Gardens and Woodbury Common in the United States. Bicester Village, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Ashford Designer Outlet each have a confirmed Coach Outlet store in Britain. Check before travelling to York Designer Outlet, as a store there has been reported but not confirmed. Outlet stock is partly made for the outlet channel, and the only share figure found, around 85%, comes from 2014, so today’s mix is unknown. Under the reported “One Coach” strategy, outlet assortments also bring in some full-price collection product, alongside earlier-season styles. As promotions change and coupon-site sale calendars could not be verified, look up current offers ahead of a coach outlet trip.
What to Expect Inside a Coach Store
Small leather goods, clothing and shoes sit alongside the current handbag range in a full-price coach store, where the bags remain the main focus. Among the recognisable bag families in 2026 are the Tabby (launched in 2019), the Brooklyn (first released in August 2024) and the Empire Carryall (released in February 2025). In the US, a Tabby 26 was observed at $475 and an Empire Carryall 34 at $450, yet neither figure comes from an official price list. Select stores also participate in the (Re)Loved trade-in, which runs in North America retail stores plus select UK and Japan stores. Based on reports, Coach Insider, Coach’s free loyalty programme, covers both Coach and Coach Outlet, meaning one membership spans both formats. A receipt from a Coach store makes handy evidence of where a coach bag came from, particularly since Coach says it does not authenticate merchandise. Stuart Vevers, whose appointment was announced in June 2013, is still Creative Director in 2026 and oversees the creative direction.
Planning Your Visit
Particularly while the New York flagship prepares to move, a little preparation prevents wasted journeys. Start with Coach’s store locator for the country you are visiting, since it sets apart full-price stores from Coach Outlet locations. Check your bag is all leather rather than canvas, and that the specific store participates, when you are after a trade-in. It pays to ask ahead of time whether the service is running if you want personalisation or made-to-order work. Visitors to Britain should note that tax-free shopping for tourists in Great Britain was withdrawn on 1 January 2021, so there is no VAT refund to count on. Should questions arise later, a receipt shows where a bag was bought, so keep them all. Before travelling a long way to an outlet centre, review current promotions, since offers are updated frequently.
- On the day you set out, open the store locator.
- Check participation and eligibility for a trade-in.
- Book ahead for personalisation services.
- Anything you buy should come with a receipt filed away.
